I have limited sessions available in person at the studio. The remaining sessions are online. Being online offers convenience and flexibility allowing you to engage in sessions from the comfort of your home or away from home. If going to a therapy centre feels intimidating then starting your journey online could be for you.

Plus, I will be offering more than 1-to-1 sessions. Join my online platform for video tutorials and more information to help support you on your journey to better overall well-being. (Online platform coming soon).

I offer the following sessions…

  • Traditional 50 minute Counselling/Psychotherapy Online

Psychotherapy or counselling, involves a structured conversation between a therapist and a client. The primary goal is to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to help the client understand and address their psychological concerns or emotional difficulties.

Key aspects of traditional talk therapy include:

1. Therapeutic Relationship: A safe and trusting environment is created to foster open communication.

2. Verbal Communication: Clients express their thoughts and feelings, while therapists listen, reflect, and provide insights.

3. Techniques and Approaches: Various therapeutic modalities can be used. I integrate psychodynamic, existential, person-centered, and mindfulness.

4. Goal-Oriented: Therapy often involves setting specific goals and working collaboratively towards achieving them.

5. Duration and Frequency: Sessions occur weekly and can range from a few weeks to several months or longer, depending on the individual’s needs.

  • 90 minute Body-Mind Session Online

This unique session combines psychotherapy, yoga, mindfulness, and strength training. My approach fosters healing, personal growth, and both physical and mental strength, helping you achieve balance and resilience.

Yoga and therapy together emphasise the mind-body connection, as emotions and trauma will manifest physically. Yoga helps connect and calm the body and mind, relieving tension through controlled mindful breath-work and movement. Working with the body in this way improves moment-to-moment mindfulness, helping to reduce daily stress and anxiety. Conversely, our physical posture influences our mental state; improved flexibility and mobility from yoga can boost self-esteem.

Additionally, strength exercises enhances confidence and self-awareness, whilst promoting resilience. By integrating these elements, the session deepens your understanding of the body and mind, leading to improved relationships with yourself and thus the world around you.

Sessions will take place on Zoom

How I work as an Integrative Therapist

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a wide range of theoretical approaches, including psychoanalysis, existentialism, and person centred traditions.

Psychoanalytical theory explores the unconscious mind and past experiences’ influence on present behaviour and emotions. I can help uncover patterns and unresolved conflicts that may contribute to your current struggles.

Existentialism emphasises individual choice, meaning-making, and personal responsibility. By drawing on existential principles, I can help you explore your values, purpose, and broader concerns, enabling you to develop a sense of agency and find meaning in your life.

Cultivating trust and safety is essential for the therapeutic process. I hold in mind the person centred approach throughout my sessions, by creating a non-judgmental and accepting environment where clients feel valued and respected. The way I work with clients promotes active listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, which helps to build trust and creates a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment or criticism.

Additionally, I bring my true self into the therapy room by being open, transparent, and genuine in my interactions. I invite clients to do the same, fostering an atmosphere of authenticity and mutual trust. This encourages clients to bring their whole selves to the therapy room, leading to more meaningful and transformative therapeutic work.

By integrating these approaches, along with my background in yoga and physical wellness, and collaborating with you the client, we can tailor your sessions to meet your unique needs, promoting self-awareness, resilience, and a greater sense of fulfilment in life.

My Values and Perspective

Furthermore, as a young therapist, I bring a fresh perspective to the field of therapy. I appreciate the unique challenges that individuals from all demographics face, and I believe it is essential to provide a safe and inclusive space for all individuals regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race, culture, and/or religious beliefs. I strongly value the importance of acknowledging and discussing differences in a professional held and respectful manner. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to promoting both the health of our planet and the protection of human rights. I firmly believe that our individual well-being is intricately linked to the overall well-being of the world we live in.

What sets me apart is not only being a young male therapist, but also my personal experiences that have shaped my passion for helping others. Losing a close male friend to suicide has deeply impacted me, and it has fuelled my determination to assist individuals who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. This personal tragedy has given me a profound understanding of the pain, confusion, and despair that can lead someone to such a dark place. I am driven by a deep empathy to support those who are going through similar struggles.

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those who are struggling or just uncertain in their current point of their life. I bring a fresh perspective and a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by people of all backgrounds.

I am here to support you, to help you navigate life’s challenges, and to empower you to create positive change. Together, we can work towards your personal growth, inner strength, and overall well-being.
